Metal Braces

Metal braces are the traditional treatment in orthodontics and they're still the most popular treatment with our patients. They are made from stainless steel, and they use small brackets bonded to the front of teeth and a thin, springy archwire running through the brackets to straighten teeth. This is a great option if you're looking for simple, reliable, and cost-effective treatment.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces use the same mechanics as metal braces, but instead of steel, the brackets are made from a clear ceramic composite material. This makes them blend in with the teeth, meaning ceramic braces aren't as noticeable as metal braces. They're a good option if you want a more aesthetically pleasing form of treatment, but they're slightly more fragile and expensive than braces.

Invisalign®

Invisalign is a different kind of orthodontic treatment than braces, and it doesn't use metal, wires, or brackets at all. Instead, Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable plastic trays called aligners to straighten teeth. The aligners are smooth to the touch and fit directly over your teeth, and they're virtually invisible when worn. This means fewer people will notice you're getting orthodontic treatment, and because you can take them out for eating and oral hygiene, you don't have to modify your diet or use things like floss threaders during treatment. Invisalign won't work for everyone, but it's a great treatment for those looking for a convenient, discreet way to straighten their teeth.
