At the office of Dr. Roy Gonzalez, Jr., we provide top-quality orthodontic treatment in a welcoming, friendly, and professional office environment. Dr. Gonzalez and our expert team work with each patient on an individual level, designing personalized treatment plans for each patient's unique orthodontic needs. Orthodontic treatment is an investment for a better smile that lasts a lifetime. Whether you're getting orthodontic treatment as an adult or as a child, it all starts with your first visit.
Your first appointment is an exciting time, as it's the first step towards a beautiful, healthy smile. It's also a time for us to get acquainted, find out more about your orthodontic condition, and discuss potential treatment options. During your first visit, Dr. Gonzalez will perform a thorough evaluation of your teeth, gums, and jaws. Based on this evaluation, he'll make a preliminary diagnosis and talk with you about your orthodontic health, the treatment options available to you, and give an estimate of the timeline and cost of your proposed treatment. If you would like to proceed with treatment, we’ll begin by preparing our diagnostic records during this visit.
Dr. Roy Gonzalez, Jr. and his father, Dr. Roy R. Gonzalez practiced together for many years until Dr. Roy R. Gonzalez’s retirement in 2016.
For the record…
Diagnostic records begin with photographs of your face and mouth. You’ll enjoy looking back at these “before” shots when your treatment is complete! We will also take X-rays of your head and teeth, and take impressions (molds) of your teeth. We may place some small rubber or metal separators between your back teeth to make placement of the orthodontic bands more comfortable at your next visit.
Our bookkeeper will go over the financial arrangements for your treatment, making sure that you understand our payment options and procedures. Before your next visit, Dr. Gonzalez will study your photographs, X-rays, and the plaster models of your teeth. He will create a detailed plan to help you achieve a beautiful smile. He has the ability to consult with a wide range of medical and dental specialists depending on the complexity of your case and treatment needs. At your next visit, we'll begin placing some of your braces – and then your treatment is on its way!
