Dr. Roy Gonzalez Sr.
Dr. Gonzalez has lectured extensively, presented dental clinics and written several scientific articles in orthodontics. He has been treating patients for more than 40 years. During the span of his career, Dr. Gonzalez has received numerous awards in ethics and for the promotion of professionalism in orthodontics. He is a member of several professional associations, including the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists and a fellow of the International College of Dentists. Dr. Gonzalez also serves on the Methodist Hospital Cleft Palate Team. Dr. Gonzalez is also a cabinet founding member and supporter of the Cancer Therapy Center and the Southwest Research Foundation. Dr. Roy Gonzalez Jr.
Board certified, Dr. Gonzalez is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also a board member of the Cleft Palate Team at Methodist Hospital and a courtesy staff member of the Department of Oral Surgery at San Antonio Regional. His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Fellow of the American College of Dentists and Fellow of the International College of Dentists. In the past, Dr. Gonzalez has served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Dental School and instructed the other doctors and students in orthodontic techniques. |
Dr. Roy Gonzalez graduated from the University of Texas Dental School. He completed his orthodontic training at the University of Kansas City in Missouri. His research on habits and malocclusion earned him a Master of Science degree in orthodontics. 
After receiving his dental degree from the University of Texas Dental School, Dr. Roy Gonzalez Jr. completed his orthodontic training at Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York, where he was awarded a Fellowship for his research on children with facial birth defects, as well as his masters degree. He has been a practicing orthodontist for more than 22 years.
